Huw’s promise to Alice to forget about Patrick and the Ripton Stalker comes under strain as his obsession grows. While pouring over the case, he finds a connection linking Ruth to Patrick in the form of a ballerina statue. Huw is surprised to see his daughter Margot back, and Alice kicks Huw out of the house when she discovers that he has lied to her.
